A feisty blogger, business maverick and ideas magician. Beverley’s curiosity, ability to challenge norms and solve problems, together with innovative business thinking and a diverse skills-set make her a dynamic personality.
Despite the fact that she is a qualified trainer, project and marketing manager, her passion for academics has made her a life-long student and UNISA-addict. Beverley’s marketing, promotional and events background and experience is an asset when creating memorable experiences and connections between brands are consumers, both on and offline. Her skill set includes corporate identity development, brand strategy development, PR, reputation management, creative campaign design and project management.
Her background includes being founder and chief magician of Ripple Promotions, a company that specialized in promotion and event management. Bev also helped establish Office Reliance in the Garden Route as the leading Virtual Office and Small Business Innovation Hub.
She currently works as an independent consultant with companies that she believes makes a difference and add value in some shape or form. This includes working with the likes of World Wide Creative’s web marketing team as a project manager to ensure that both the client and company goals are met through on-time project delivery and effective communication. She also works with MANGO-OMC, where she assists with developing online PR and social media strategies that leverage off traditional PR campaigns and dovetails with their clients’ existing marketing strategies. Projects have included an international lottery ticket purchasing service, getclosure, Rocking the Daisies and Jail4Bail.
Bev is an active blogger and runs a blog called FeistyFemale.com. The feisty, cheeky, blog on life, weird encounters and colourful people. On beverleymerriman.com she talks about business, success, PR and new media. In addition she writes for the Mail and Guardian Online’s Thought Leader site and covers topics on business, entrepreneurship, motivation, attitude and youth.
She has presented talks on branding, social media, business strategy and blogging at a myriad of events. In her spare time she is a passionate dancer and gym-bunny.
Bev is based in Cape Town, South Africa.
